Workshop by Aditi Anuj

Designed by Ar.Ankon Mitra, Delhi and conducted by Aditi Anuj, textile designer from Mumbai; Oritecture, as the workshop is called, was to learn to use Origami Techniques for Architecture, Structure and Form-Making. They started by watching the movie between the folds and during the three-day course students were introduced to straight line folding techniques of Yoshimura Diamond Patterns and Fernando Sierra Hypars and Hyperbolic Compounds, curved folding techniques like Kalmon Chains and Kalmon Chain compounds, David Huffman Curved Folding to form Conical Sections and Volutes etc. The students however did not design forms and structures of their own, which they would love to as a follow up to this workshop. A complete exhibition was put up at the end of it.
