Ever since his graduation over two decades ago, Rajesh Kumar has been a strong proponent of construction techniques that take up less energy and are not dangerous to the environment. This dedication toward an architecture that works hand in hand with the earth led Rajesh Kumar to create his own firm R-LEEF. Since its inception, the firm has been promoting technology and methods that help architects with alternative building ideas and sustainable practices. At the firm, Rajesh Kumar has designed and executed many projects in and around Mysore.

As an academician, Rajesh Kumar has been reviewing multiple projects and creating resources that introduce the public to alternative building technology. He has also been a visiting faculty at the WCFA since the year 2005.
