Nelson Joe Vijai Pais

A veteran in architecture, Nelson has worked with institutions such as Amar Consult, Parsons–Harland Bartholomew Associates, and Dubai Municipality. He has also worked as a senior planner on a range of urban design planning projects. One of these projects was the Structure Plan of Dubai.

In 2004, Nelson and a few of his contemporaries founded 2KPM in association with studios from Mangalore and Mysore.

Nelson believes that one cannot learn architecture in isolation and that multi-disciplinary approaches and references to diverse fields are of utmost importance. His research interests lie in the History of Architecture and Urbanism

When he is not busy being an architect, Nelson loves reading, history, golf, driving, and bike rides.

Awards & Recognition

Nelson and 2KMP won the HUDCO Design Awards 2013 (in the New and Innovative Town Design Solutions/Eco-Cities category) for the work done at MEPL Celebrations Township, Mangalore.
