Upon graduation, Nagesh began work with the acclaimed C-Earth Private Limited in Calicut, where he stayed until 2006. While at C-Earth, Nagesh worked on architectural, urban design, and heritage conservation projects.

In 2006, Nagesh founded his firm that continues to work on different individual residences, institutional buildings, and recreational projects.

Nagesh has also focused on his academic approach to architecture. He has been a visiting faculty at MCE Hassan, SIT Tumkur, USD Mysore, and now WCFA.

Moreover, Nagesh is a member of the heritage committee of the Government of Karnataka. He is also the Vice President of Mandya-based NGO Vikasana. The NGO works on  rural and urban development projects.
