
Krishnapriya Rajshekar
Krishnapriya Rajshekar is an architect and academic based in Mysore. She currently works as Assistant Professor at Wadiyar Centre for Architecture, Mysore. A graduate from University School of Design, Mysore, she went on to major in History, Theory & Criticism during her Masters, which she pursued at CEPT University, Ahmedabad. Her chief interests lie in the overlaps between architecture, literature, visual culture and the city, which she explored in her graduate thesis titled ‘The Art Biennale Phenomenon: In Conversation with the City.’ She continues to examine her interests through teaching and writing.
She has been the Domain Head for History & Theory of Architecture at WCFA, where, along with her fellow teaching peers at WCFA, a holistic pedagogical framework for teaching History, Theory and Humanities-based subjects has been developed and continues to evolve. Among other courses, she has been running the Architectural Writing Elective at WCFA, which has served as fertile ground for exploring the links between the visual, written & spoken mediums when it comes to generating dialogues on lives led in built environments .

- Winner, CEPT Essay Prize 2018. The winning essay titled ‘Riding the Winds of Change : From Heritage Cities to Backpacker Havens’ has been published in the book ‘CEPT Essay Prize 2018, Theme : The House of Mirrors – Architecture in a Maze of South Asian and South-East Asian Cultures’ (published by CEPT University Press, 2019)
- Invited to present her graduate thesis titled ‘The Art Biennale Phenomenon: In Conversation with the City’ as part of the as part of the panel ‘Performance & Performativity in Modern
South-Asia’, an Interdisciplinary Pre-Conference at the 46th Annual Conference on South Asia, October 2017, organised by the Center for South Asia, University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA.
