People are the most valuable resource of WCFA. WCFA is more than an institution – we are a learning space that encourages the fusion of ideas, discussions, and engagement to build bridges among people from all fields of learning.

Faculty

Our teaching faculty is a cross-functional, diverse team comprising architects, educationists, artists, urbanists, social anthropologists, conservationists, structural engineers, landscapists, planners, interior designers, practising architects, and others. Each member of our faculty is known for possessing leadership and expertise in their designated fields, brought together by a common passion for education and academic research.

The vast multiplicity of our faculty allows students to get a grasp of design and architecture at different levels creating a fulfilling academic experience. We also encourage our faculty members to spend time on research and engage in architectural practice to foster both theoretical and practical learning.

Student Council

The WCFA Student Council is the voice of the students with student welfare at its heart. The Council comprises a president, vice president, cultural managers, sports managers, and designers.

Together, they focus on four core functions to enrich a student’s experience:

  • Ensure all-round development – academic, social, personal, and professional – of students
  • Encourage a good working relationship between students, faculty, and administration
  • Promote student initiatives and programs
  • Promote and preserve the school spirit

Founders

Wadiyar Centre for Architecture (WCFA) is one of the few institutions in the country set up by a Trust founded and managed by Architects. The College is born out of passion to contribute to the fraternity and the architectural discipline at large. The institution is preceded by a history of collective thinking & discussions on Architecture and Architectural Education among the founders and the fraternity that has influenced the methodology of knowledge transfer in the College.

WCFA is recognized by the ‘Council of
Architecture,’ New Delhi and is affiliated to
‘Visveswaraya Technological University’,
Belgaum.
