The key intention behind Vertical Studios is to foster collaborative learning & ideating processes across students from various years. An overarching theme provides a common ground from which multiple interpretations can emerge. Various mentors from the fields of architecture, design & visual arts are invited to offer short-format studios where the students are encouraged to push the boundaries of academic learning and imagine alternative worlds and ways of interpreting the built environment, pertinent to the theme. It also enables the broadening of perspectives and dialogues between the faculty and the invited mentors.
